I got a question for y’all! What’s your favorite movie of the past year or two AND what movie are you most looking forward to coming up?
I’m thinking about seeing a movie tonight, but I’m not sure what to see; so, what’re some good movies out now?
Can’t wait to hear all your responses!
If you haven’t seen it yet, I would highly recommend Black Panther. It’s gorgeous, historical and sci-fi put together. It’s a great story and exciting.

I would respond but I haven’t seen a movie except on Netflix for the past few years (other than A Wrinkle in Time which I wasn’t impressed with).

EXACTLY, jULIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! omg wasn’t it awful???????????? I am a huge l’engle fan and I was NOT HAPPY. I did like the multi cultural casting and I love the three actresses who played the witch/star chicks but the rest was stupid and I didn’t like who they cast as Charles Wallace either. Except that he could play a good psycho kid lol

Baby Driver! This is one of my favorites from director Edgar Wright. Plus, the soundtrack is amazing. Looking forward to Infinity War.

dude, all I know is do NOT see A Wrinkle in Time. They fucked that story up so badly it barely resembles the book!
I don’t know any current movies but next time you’re staying in I loved Forgetting Sarah Marshall from 2008! I’m still getting over a hard break up still so I appreciated it. It’s funny if you like dry or stupid humor like I do.

I haven’t been to a movie theater in years, but we do watch quite a few recent movies on Vudu. I’d say just about anything connected to Marvel has been pretty good for the most part; I loved both Guardians of the Galaxy movies and can’t wait until the next one comes out, but that’ll probably be a year or two from now (though I hear the Guardians will be appearing in the next Avengers movie “Avengers: Infinity War”, which will be released later this month). “Thor: Ragnarok” was pretty good, too. I haven’t seen “Black Panther” yet, but I’d like to. Outside of Marvel, the Kingsman movies were also good, and I liked The Last Jedi, but not as much as The Force Awakens…I’m hoping Episode IX will make up for it. I tend to watch series on Netflix more than movies, but I’ll watch a random movie sometimes on a Saturday night.

Who *hasn’t* gotten in touch with their inner Star Lord and danced around their house to “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone? 🤭😊

Currently Jumanji because I haven’t been in the theaters in ages lol and my most anticipated? The Incredibles 2 because I am a sucker for animated films and I’ve been waiting for that for years!

14 years apparently! I was super young when it first came out, now I’m in denial of adulthood lol

Game Night. Totally ridiculous and if you think too much about the plot line the whole thing makes no sense. But it’s fun while you’re watching and fast-paced with some pretty good performances – especially from Jesse Plemons.

I think my favorite in the past few years was “The Big Sick.” As for future stuff I’m looking forward to “Avengers: Infinity War”

Hmm. I don’t go to the theaters often, (I think the last movie I saw in theaters was The Greatest Showman, which was okay) and I’m terrible with time, but I really liked the movie Brooklyn. I think it came out closer to three years ago, though. The Light Between Oceans and The Book Thief were also really good. (I realize these recommendations are nothing like those listed by other commenters, but hey, it’ll help you explore an entirely different genre and time period!) 🙂
