      1. We’re supposed to have our first low in the 40s either Thursday or Friday night. Here, we consider it “sweater weather”. It won’t be until December or January when we get winter weather in earnest (which for us is a lot of cold, dry air and no snow, but you’d probably have already figured that out from my blog’s name, The Snowless Knitter).

      2. Oh, it can go lower. There are times (usually in January) when it can dip as low as the 20s overnight! If it goes below freezing for several hours overnight, it can cause damage in citrus crops. January is typically the coldest month here on average.

  1. Here in the Austin area the high will be around 40 F. Freeze warnings for the night. The young oak outside our apartment still has its dull brownish green leaves. Most other trees are about half leafless. The 30 MPH winds may take care of some more leaves. Had ingrown toenails removed and cannot wear real shoes yet. My toes are cold!
