Quote of the Day #148

A monastery in Belgium, that has been burned down three times in its 800 year history, has a Phoenix as its symbol and an accompanying quote in Latin:

“ardet nec consumitur” – “burned but not destroyed.”

      1. You should look up “interesting facts” on google. There’s a lot! I like hearing about random laws in different states. 😂

  1. This could apply to the many towns and villages hit by tornadoes year after year. We knew of one family in Marionville, MO, that had their home destroyed, rebuilt in the same location and were hit again. After that they relocated about 30 miles away and were hit again. Guess their motto could be, “From the rubble we stumble”.
